- Brian Fitch
- Brian Fitch, Ph.D., is a lieutenant and a 27-year veteran of the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department. He has facilitated courses to law enforcement professionals throughout the United States, as well as abroad, including courses on leadership and supervision, communication, interview and interrogation, and conflict resolution. Dr. Fitch holds a faculty position in the Psychology Department at California State University, Long Beach, where he teaches courses in personality, social psychology, and critical thinking. He also instructs classes in strategic communication and organizational psychology at Woodbury University. Dr. Fitch has been featured as an expert on interviewing and deceptive communication as part of a television special entitled Lies, cheats, and deceits, which aired on the Discovery Channel and A&E. He is a graduate of the California Commission on P.O.S.T. Master Instructor Development Program and Supervisory Leadership Institute. Dr. Fitch's publications have appeared in Law and Order, Police Chief, and The California Journal of Law Enforcement. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Communication Studies and a Doctorate in Human Development.
